Advice prior to Laser treatments for sun spots

1. Do not expose the area intended for treatment to the sun for four weeks prior to your treatment.

2. If you return from a sun holiday you must postpone your treatment for four to six weeks.

3. Avoid fake tan or self tanning lotions for at least one week prior to your treatment.

Age/Sun spots

Age or sun spots are skin discolourations which are due to sun exposure.

Age spots are most often found on the face, hands, arms and forehead.
Sun spots are not harmful and often no treatment is necessary. However if there has been a recent change in the appearance of a particular spot you should seek medical advice. Many patients find age or sun spots unsightly and opt to remove them in order to achieve a more rejuvenated complexion.

Laser treatments are very effective in treating age spots.
