Molluscum contagiosum
These often appear as growths on the skin of young children especially in areas of skin folds i.e armpits , behind knees and groin .
They are often very small up to a few mm in size . Molluscum are cause by a viral infection and often the surrounding skin is irritated with dermatitis.
Treatment options
- No action : Molluscum contagiosum resolve spontaneously in 1-2 yrs with no treatment

- cantharone
- aldara cream (prescriptions may be provided )
