Botox injections can correct down turned noses.
For a drooping nasal tip, Botulinium toxin is injected directly into each side of your nostril as well as to the base of nose where it joins the upper lip. This gently weakens those muscles responsible for pulling the nose downward and permits the small muscles higher up along the nose to draw the tip upward unopposed.
Dermal fillers can be used to correct bumps or humps on the bridge of the nose and surface irregularities along the top of the nose. The degree of improvement can vary from individual to individual and the underlying structural irregularity of your nose. If the defects are severe surgery may be the best approach.
Prior to the procedure, the area to be treated is injected lidocaine, a local anaesthetic. Once the area is numb, the filler is injected and then moulded into position to correct the deformity. This procedure usually takes about five minutes, and the results are immediate.
Possible side effects include redness, bruising, mild swelling, and tenderness, which may last one to three days.
